Since 2023, Injury Recovery Aid (IRA) has provided critical support to Texans recovering from personal injuries, helping them navigate their journey back to independence through transportation and resource coordination.
Injury Recovery Aid (IRA) is dedicated to removing transportation barriers for injury victims, ensuring they can access vital medical, therapy, and legal appointments during their recovery journey.
Our Story
Founded by a coalition of medical professionals and accident survivors, Injury Recovery Aid (IRA) was born from firsthand experience with the hardships of post-injury recovery. Time and again, they saw how missed medical appointments—often due to lack of transportation—led to delayed healing and worsened outcomes. IRA was created to change that, providing injured Texans with the reliable rides they need to recover and rebuild with dignity.
The Need
Nearly 500,000 Texans were injured in workplace or motor vehicle accidents in 2023. With 31% considered transportation disadvantaged and over half of crashes occurring in rural areas, many victims miss vital medical care—hurting both recovery and case outcomes.
Injury Recovery Aid (IRA) bridges this gap by providing free, reliable rides to appointments—helping your clients heal, stay compliant, and strengthen their claims.
IRA's Goal
By the end of 2026, Injury Recovery Aid (IRA) hopes to provide over 1,000 life-changing rides each year—ensuring injured Texans can get to the care and support they need to heal and move forward.
Rides are just the beginning. With increased support, IRA also aims to offer overnight stays for those traveling long distances, access to specialized treatments, and the ability to serve more survivors across the state. Because no one should miss their chance to recover simply because they don’t have a way to get there.
